Register Today for October 29 Public Forum on Big Data and Privacy: Navigating Benefits, Risks and Ethical Boundaries

Register today for what is certain to be a dynamic conversation surrounding big data and privacy. Our keynote speaker will be Jules Polonetsky – executive director of the Future of Privacy Forum, who will explore trends, emerging developments, and important benefits as well as risks in “big data” – particularly focusing on privacy concerns and best practices for responsible data management.

Following Polonetsky’s address, panelists will share their insight about developments and implications for business, healthcare and law. Panelist include: Jay Cline – principal, Data Protection and Privacy Risk Assurance at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers); William McGeveran – associate professor and Vance Opperman Research Scholar at the University of Minnesota School of Law; and, Tobi Tanzer – vice president, Integrity and Compliance, chief compliance & privacy officer at HealthPartners. The dialogue will be moderated by Ron James – CEBC president and CEO.

CEBC Publication Wins Best Book Award

Corporate Responsibility: The American Experience won the “best book” award from the Social Issues in Management division of the Academy of Management at its annual meeting on August 4, 2014 in Philadelphia. Research and writing of the book was a project of the Center for Ethical Business Cultures located at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business.
