Development

Now more than ever, CEBC's mission assisting business leaders in creating ethical and profitable business cultures is critical. CEBC has developed an aggressive plan to meet the challenges ahead, but transformation requires not only vision and commitment ... but resources!

The foresight and generosity of Friends who support the Center's mission through private gifts has been tremendous. A gift to CEBC is an investment, and the return on such investments will foster healthier and more profitable businesses for generations to come.

There are many ways to support the Center. You may choose to designate your gift to be applied to an endowment or a particular program area. Or, you may choose to make an unrestricted gift to the Center's annual fund that directly supports the operations of the Center.

If you are considering making a gift to CEBC, we would welcome the opportunity to answer your questions or visit with your advisors regarding one of the following giving opportunities or a gifting of your design:

  • Gifts of Cash

Most gifts to CEBC are in the form of cash and provide a charitable income tax deduction. You can send a check or money order made payable to the Center for Ethical Business Cultures (CEBC) to:

  • Gifts of Securities

Gifts of stocks, mutual funds or bonds are welcomed. Gifts of appreciated securities offer substantial tax advantages including forgiveness of the tax on capital gain and an income tax charitable deduction for the fair market value of the securities.

  • Tribute Gifts

This giving option offers you the opportunity to celebrate a family member's or friend's contribution to society while the individual is still alive.

  • Memorial Gifts

Gifts in memory of a family member or friend express what words alone cannot and provide important support for the Center.

  • Matching Gifts

Many employers have matching gift programs through which your gifts to the Center can be multiplied. Some companies may also match gifts from spouses and retirees. When you make a gift to the Center, please call your personnel office to see if your company has a matching gifts program. Get a matching gift form from them and follow the directions for doubling — or even tripling — your gift. This is an excellent way of increasing your support.

  • Estate and Planned Gifts

Planned gifts options include the bequest by will, charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts. Some of these options may provide income and estate tax deductions. Please consult your financial advisors and legal counsel on your specific situation.

  • Gifts of Property

You may prefer to give gifts of property such as real estate, life insurance, retirement accounts, works of art, jewelry, and value collections. These gifts provide tax advantages and may require independent appraisals to meet U.S. IRS regulations.

  • In-kind Gifts

CEBC welcomes in-kind gifts. Please contact the Center if you’d like to discuss the possibility of offering CEBC an in-kind gift.
