CEBC Leadership Team
David H. Rodbourne David H. Rodbourne serves as Vice President of the Center for Ethical Business Cultures (CEBC), a non-profit organization that assists business leaders in creating ethical and profitable business cultures. Founded in 1978 by Minnesota business leaders, the Center is affiliated with the University of St. Thomas – Minnesota and works closely with its College of Business. His principal work is in the development and delivery of ethical leadership products and services for business. Mr. Rodbourne has expanded the Center’s suite of workshops and seminars including an ethical decision making model, simulation exercises and The Work«Life Network. Rodbourne serves on the program committee for the University of St. Thomas annual Stakeholder Dialogues. Mr. Rodbourne is the author of the Center’s report on Creating High Performance Organizations: The Bottom Line Value of Work/Life Strategies (1997) and its Mergers and Corporate Philanthropy study (2001). He wrote the proceedings for Bringing Business to the Table: A Stakeholders Roundtable (2000), a project of The Claremont Graduate University. Rodbourne chaired the research committee for a Minnesota statewide, collaborative study of business giving and community, The Business of Giving Back. Currently, he is leading the development of a recognition award program for family-friendly employers and is heading the Center’s planning study for a history of corporate social responsibility. Mr. Rodbourne has served as a guest lecturer at the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota and as a guest speaker for other college and high school groups. He has led and developed an international educational experience in business ethics and corporate responsibility for MBA students at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, organizing visits with companies and non-governmental organizations in Brussels and London. Prior to joining CEBC, Rodbourne served as an Issues Advisor for Minnesota Public Radio, Director of Programs for Spring Hill Conference Center, Program Manager for the Urban Coalition, and Research Associate with Dayton Hudson Corporation (now Target) and Dayton’s Stores public affairs units. Mr. Rodbourne currently serves the Advisory Council for the Working Family Resource Center in St. Paul and is a past member of the University of Minnesota’s Children, Youth and Family Consortium Advisory Council. His educational background includes a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and graduate study with the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.
