Caux Round Table

The Center for Ethical Business Cultures (CEBC) is affiliated with the Caux Round Table (CRT) — a group of senior business leaders from the Americas, Europe and Asia. Launched in 1986, the CRT is an international network of businesses that promotes a moral capitalism.

Its influence has grown through the formulation and worldwide circulation of its Principles for Business, a statement of aspirations that outlines common international standards for business ethics and conduct. The concept for the Principles originated with CEBC (then known as the Minnesota Center for Corporate Responsibility - MCCR) in a document titled The Minnesota Principles: Toward an Ethical Basis for Global Business. Subsequently, CEBC led the effort to incorporate the Japanese concept of kyosei (living and working together) and secure endorsement by the Caux Round Table. CEBC assists the CRT in raising global awareness of the Principles.

This affiliation enables the Center, and its members, to network with and draw upon the expertise of business leaders that are committed to responsible corporate policies and practices throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Near East.
